Acclaimed artist Susan Winget designed "A Christmas Story" for Portmeirion in 1995. It is the first and only depiction of the famous poem "Twas the Night Before Christmas" by Clement C. Moore on fine porcelain tableware and accessories. Each piece features a different scene and story line from this famous poem. Over the years, this delightful table service has become one of the most collectible series of holiday tableware on the market. Portmeirion will continue to expand the collection each year with the introduction of porcelain pieces reflecting more of the story line. This pattern continues to be a treasured collectible series passed down through generations. Wooden serving tray portrays "Twas the Night Before Christmas, when all through the house."
Features
  • Serving tray in Christmas-theme; measures 18-1/4 by 11-3/4 by 2-3/4 inches
  • Crafted from glazed porcelain and wood frame
  • Picturesque holiday scene; coordinates with the entire A Christmas Story dinnerware and giftware collection
  • Hand wash and polish wood
  • Created by artist Susan Winget; imported from England

 NOT what is advertised
Big time misrepresentation - this item is all wood - there is no ceramic surface anywhere. Not only that but it cannot be used as a food or drink tray without a protective covering. The painted design is simply ok. The certification that it is a Portmeirion Studio is a sticker on the bottom of the tray. I would not have purchased this item if I had seen it in person.
